All I can say is these are amazing and no one can ever tell they are gluten free. This is a great beginner recipe for a newbie gluten free cook. No special ingredients or equipment needed. Besides who doesn’t love the combination of peanut butter and chocolate??
This recipe is based off of my Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. Why not take a great cookie and turn it into yummy bars? Perfect dessert to bring to parties and potlucks.
Gluten Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bars

*Not feeding a large crowd?? Simply make a 1/2 recipe in an 8×8 dish.

Ah, I am making this for our family dinner on Sunday! It will be a hit. :) I just have to pick up some dairy free CC at MOMS.
Today, I am making the Lentil Hummus. Last night was the stir fry. It went over well. Even Kristin ate her little teeny portion I gave her. (she takes a while to warm up to new stuff, but I make her at least try it) She didn’t want it…but she actually ate it all without any fuss. I take that as a good thing. The rest of us really enjoyed it. I had a bunch of scallions to use up, so I cut a several of those and threw them in at the end. (also made sushi to go along with dinner)
Tammy,
Glad your family enjoyed the Lentil Stir Fry, it is good that Kristin tries everything :) Scallions are a great and fresh touch, good idea! And I can’t believe you make your own sushi, that is awesome! How did the hummus turn out?
these were awesome! my kids loved them and wanted to eat them after every meal. can’t say i blame them.
Thank you so much for your awesome blog! I’m not gluten intolerant, but am looking for recipes to suit my new whole foods lifestyle. I’ve found many recipes on your blog i am dying to try! This may sound like a really silly question since these are peanut butter chocolate chip bars, but what would i use if i don’t much care for peanut butter? I’m assuming i could use butter for part of it, but certainly not all, lol. Thanks so much! ;)
Glad you are here Chanda! You can simple use any nut butter (like almond butter) in it’s place. They would be more like blondies :)
These were fantastic! They are so easy to make and come out like a moist brownie, it’s hard to believe there’s no flour in them.
