Turtle Fudge Brownies

What’s better than a candy turned into a brownie?  My sweet tooth is pretty ridiculous with this pregnancy.  I just can’t seem to get enough….

Turtle Fudge Brownies

  1. Prepare and fully bake brownies. Set aside to cool.
  2. Meanwhile make the caramel, at the very end stir in the chopped pecans.
  3. Pour mixture over the cooled brownies.
  4. Serve warm for a nice gooey treat or allow to cool completely for a more “clean” cut brownie.

Just a little update, I am now in my second trimester (17 weeks)  so things have settled down a bit.  My Crohn’s is calming down and I’m gaining some much needed energy.  The baby bump is definitely here!  I feel like it comes earlier with each pregnancy….

Hopefully I will be back to posting recipes and photos weekly! I wanted to apologize for not promptly responding to comments and emails, honestly there have been days, even weeks where I have not been online.  Thank you for your sweet thoughts and prayers.  So far mom and baby are healthy…. only 23 weeks to go!

Many blessings!

~Michelle

  • so glad to hear you’re doing well. you look beautiful. these brownies look amazing, as well. ;)

  • I was just about to make the chocolate cake in a mug. I pulled up your site to find the recipe, and BAM! You posted a NEW recipe! Then BAM BAM! Turtle fudge brownies!!! I Love how you don’t use a lot of ingredients and your instructions are simple. And to boot, yours tastes WAAAAY better than those other sites I’ve tried.

Yesterday I made your cinnamon pecan scones. Love those! I added dark chocolate pieces in the batter. Super yum!

Good luck with your pregnancy. Can’t wait to see more delicious goodies from you. :)

  • Michelle, I’ve been following your blog for awhile now. I LOVE your recipes! I’ve been on the SCD diet for over a year now and it has helped me to lead an almost normal life with UC (I was diagnosed after the birth of my first daughter). My husband and I are ready for another child and I’m really nervous since it will be my first pregnancy with UC. You are my inspiration! You look great! I’m so happy to hear that you’re doing well!

  • I just found your blog & love it! I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis in Dec 2011 & my 6 yr old son has several food allergies (wheat, soy, peanut & tree nuts). I am also 17 weeks pregnant with our second child & really have to be careful what I’m eating. I can’t wait to cook some of the yummy looking recipes from here :)
